When at World War II American men left their jobs and homes for war, American women took over the many tasks that needed attention such as making uniforms, building tanks, fixing engines, run the railways, fly planes and… painting propaganda posters. This beautiful picture shows employees reporducing the master document hanging in the background.
Clever typographical posters
Transport for London has released a new series of adverts incorporating beautiful typography with bicycles.Designed to promote Barclays Bicycles and the Cycle Superhighways, the colourful posters use a single word as the bicycle frames, such as ?easy?, ?safer? and ?direct?.
The words, designed by Alex Trochut, are seamlessly melded to the bicycles? handles, seats and wheels using CGI.
The posters are part of an M&C Saatchi campaign for Transport for London and you can take a closer look at them here.
